QikServe Founder, Daniel Rodgers named regional finalist for EY Entrepreneur of the Year 2022

Ernst & Young has taken a step closer to unearthing its Entrepreneur Of The Year™ UK for 2022, having announced QikServe Founder Daniel Rodgers as a regional finalist in the programme.

The EY Entrepreneur Of The Year UK programme recognises innovators from across the country and brings together unstoppable professionals that are positively impacting people and their communities. Ernst & Young is one of the largest professional services networks in the world.

The innovator behind QikServe, Daniel said: “I am honoured to be chosen as a finalist in this year’s EY Entrepreneur of the Year. It showcases the importance of innovation in the hospitality industry and QikServe’s focus on consumer experience, whether in-store or off-premises. I wish my fellow finalists the best of luck.”

Lynn Rattigan, Ernst & Young’s UK&I Chief Operating Officer and EY Entrepreneur Of The Year UK Partner Sponsor, said: “I’m thrilled to welcome this year’s regional finalists into our entrepreneurial community. These individuals inspire me with their innovation and ability to fuel growth to the UK economy.”

QikServe was born in 2011 after Daniel found frustration on holiday in London. He said: “I was with my two young children and it was incredibly difficult to access good service. I’m not one to let a problem go unsolved, and so, QikServe’s journey began.”

Now, Daniel’s time is spent supporting his team to evolve QikServe’s unique, end-to end order and pay technology and developing the strong relationships with key customers and technology partners. He’s dedicated to delivering QikServe’s digital-first platform and watching his passion for excellent customer service come to fruition.

Daniel commented: “Every company uses a different combination of products, a different POS, a different loyalty product, and a different kitchen management system. As an industry, we are managing a disparate spread of legacy systems. At QikServe, we effectively tackle that challenge.”

Through the pandemic, QikServe’s flexible and future-proof approach provided valuable insight and data analytics for its partners. They were able to achieve increased efficiency and ultimately improve guest experience and deliver a seamless experience between digital and traditional dining.

Emerging from this period, operators will rely on QikServe’s technology to instil its customers with confidence, offering them safe, contactless experiences that forge greater loyalty and, vitally, boost revenue streams.

QikServe drives digital transformation in hospitality. It achieves this through the brand’s open API which integrates with over 90 hospitality technology partners, combined with continued development of its platform and the expertise of a team that has spent decades working in hospitality technology.

QikServe’s broad global customer portfolio includes restaurants, theatres, hotels and sports stadiums and brand names such as TGI Fridays, Shake Shack and Merlin Entertainment.
